MUMBAI: Anil Kapoor's much-discussed role in Mission: Impossible 4 – Ghost Protocol has turned out to be a damp squib for the actor's fans when the first trailers of the Tom Cruise-starrer were leaked online.
Anil is missing from the video which has Cruise and other characters. The buzz is that none of the frames in the trailer have even a glimpse of the actor and the actor has a two-minute scene in the film itself. If that is the truth then it would be very sad for this to happen to an actor of Anil's calibre after making a Hollywood debut in Slumdog Millionaire.
MUMBAI: Indian actress Karishma Kapoor will make her comeback after five years in an upcoming 3D film. After Hollywood, the 3D craze has also taken India by storm. Maybe it is this new trend that convinced Karishma to make her comeback.
The film “Dangerous Ishq” will be directed by Vikarm Bhatt who also directed India’s first 3D film Haunted. The film will begin shooting in September in Rajasthan. According to news reports Karishma is very excited about working in the 3D film.
It seems that the Kapoor girl –Kareena is facing a difficult time. The buzz was doing the rounds that Kareena was feeling unwell on the sets of her latest venture Bodyguard. Bebo had a bout of food poisoning. Kareena was shooting in Pune when she suddenly started feeling unwell. Kareena had to take bed rest for her condition and the shooting had to be halted.
Kareena is paired opposite to Salman Khan in the movie Bodyguard. The film is made on the lines of a Malayalam film which bears the same name.
The film is by Siddique while Salman Khan’s brother- in- law Atul Agnihotri and his wife Alvira Agnihotri are the producers of the film. Pritam Chakraborty has been roped in for the music in the film. In this film Salman dons a different look altogether.
It will be a far cry from what he has done in his blockbuster hit Dabbang.
Kareena will be essaying the role of a don’s daughter who is a college goer. Kareena also sports a different look in the film as she goes traditional for the film. Kareena wears a lot of Pakistani kurtas with oxidized jewellery.
Designer Manish Malhotra is trying to get Karenna’s look in the film right. Manish has even scouted for accessories in Pune, Delhi and Mumbai. Manish feels that Kareena will be a trendsetter with her ethnic look in the film.
News are doing the rounds that the makers plan to release Bodyguard on August 27.However with Bebo’s condition the production of the movie will be delayed

The actress has had the Latin 'Aut viam inveniam aut faciam', which translates as 'I'll either find a way or make one', inked her along her left arm, The Times of India has reported.
She told the paper: "I like this tattoo because it's a truth I live by!"
Sources revealed that she has three other tattoos already, including a tiger cub on her back, the word 'temptation' on her right arm and another Latin tattoo translating as 'Glory to God alone'
I will make Cruise dance'
Anil Kapoor has promised that he will introduce his co-star Tom Cruise to Bollywood traditions.
The Slumdog Millionaire star has just finished working on Mission Impossible 4 with the Hollywood actor.
He told Bollywood Spice: “I am going to corrupt them and make them dance to Bollywood numbers.
"I'll see to it that very soon Hollywood actors will be dancing with Kareena Kapoor and Katrina Kaif."
Kapoor also added that journalists should ask Tom Cruise what it was like working with him, rather than the other way around.
Advises No Problem producer to cancel 'success' bash after the film's stars refuse to show up
No Problem producer B K Modi (of Spice Studios) had planned a lavish party at his Juhu bungalow last night to celebrate the release of his film. Invitations were sent out to the cast asking them to mark their attendance.
Un-enthusiastic
Unlike the producers, the actors were less than enthusiastic on attending the event. Buzz is that everyone from Anil Kapoor to Sushmita Sen was reluctant to go to the party after critics and bad word-of-mouth panned it.
A source reveals, "The idea was to invite not just the cast but other B-Town bigwigs as well. Modi personally sent out invitations to actors asking them to join him in the celebration of his film's release.
However, when he didn't get any response from his own cast, Anil Kapoor personally asked him to cancel the party."
Adds the source, "Kangna and Sushmita were the first to cancel as both were extremely unhappy on not being promoted before release.
Sanjay Dutt and Akshaye Khanna both cited reasons of being busy with other engagements."
Apparently, Anil had to coax Modi to cancel the party as it would be embarrassing to celebrate without the cast and crew.
"He suggested there shouldn't be a party if no one is coming to attend it. Modi had to pay heed to Anil's words."
A source close to Kapoor states that he wasn't involved in Modi's party plans. "The No Problem party was being organised by the producer.
It has nothing to do with Anil. He wasn't part of the planning or any way involved in the organising."
Anil Kapoor and Sushmita Sen are to share screen space ten years after their last project together.
The actors play a dysfunctional husband and wife in new release No Problem, reports NDTV.
Actor-producer Kapoor spoke about the casting of Sen in the Anees Bazmee production, saying: "There were a number of names that were thought of for a woman to play a lead opposite me.
"We thought of Lara [Dutta] as well as Bipasha [Basu], but Anees was convinced that Sushmita would suit the role best. He insisted that she had to be the final choice. I too was convinced eventually, and this is how Sushmita came in."
The stars last performed together in the blockbuster hit Biwi No 1, which also featured Salman Khan and Karishma Kapoor.
The ‘dhak dhak’ girl of Bollywood, Madhuri Dixit is back to India and millions of fans are waiting to see her on the big screen once again. Madhuri Dixit rocked the Bollywood with Anil Kapoor with her ‘Mohini’ act in Tezaab in 1988 and since then they became one of the hottest on-screen couples of 80s.
After Tezaab, they were again paired in the following year in Ram Lakhan and the success journey continued in the early 90s with Parinda, Pukar and Beta. Their on-screen chemistry was due to their off-screen bonding and understanding but they were never paired together again after 2000 film Pukar. Madhuri almost left Bollywood after her marriage and was last seen in Aaja Nachle, which was considered to be her comeback film. But this film could not do the expected business and she returned back to the US.
Now, as the beautiful actress has returned to India for judging a reality show in television, Anil Kapoor also got nostalgic. The actor expressed his desire to be paired with his favorite actress once again. But considering the age of the two stars, we doubt if they can be seen in lead roles again. There is no doubt that Anil has been acting with all the young leading ladies in the industry now but Madhuri has seemingly put some weight and looks quite reluctant to do a film now. However, recently on her return to India, Madhuri said that she has started her dance practicing again as her kids have grown up. So, does it mean that she is also looking forward to another innings in Bollywood?
Well, for bringing Madhuri and Anil back on screen, the filmmaker need to develop a very strong script that can really justify their persona now. We hope the filmmakers are listening to Kapoor’s desire and will soon come up with a movie that can bring the hit pair Anil and Madhuri together once again!

Kareena Kapoor has revealed plans to imitate Shakira's dance moves in Rohit Shetty's new film.
The Times of India reports that the star will mimic the Colombian singer's choreography in Golmaal 3.
The actress revealed: "My audience expects me to be sexy and sizzling at least in the naach-gaana routine. So I've gone ahead and done hip-shaking that is a cross between Shakira's 'Waka-Waka' and 'Hips Don't Lie'."
Kapoor is rumoured to be wearing harem pants, a revealing vest and bangles for the shoot.
"The choreographer Ganesh Acharya added our Bollywood moves to the track but there's just this extra hip swing that I think is very hot," said the star. The third installment in the Golmaal series is scheduled to release on November 5.
Anil Kapoor has claimed that 24 is the largest project he has ever worked on.
The actor, who became internationally famous after starring in Slumdog Millionaire, said that acting in the TV series was the biggest production he has ever starred in.
"This small screen (24) was bigger than the big screen that I have done in India. It was bigger than the biggest that I've ever done," he told IANS.
"For example, the scale of every episode was bigger than any of the films I've done in the past. The entire series is worth $125-150 million (between £80 and 95 million). I've never done such a big show in my career. It was totally very special."
Anil Kapoor has claimed that he has been lucky in his movie career.
The Indian star, 50, said that he does not consider himself to be a Bollywood legend like Amitabh Bachchan, despite spending 31 successful years in the industry.
"Don't compare me with Amitabh Bachchan, please. He is a once in a lifetime legend that Bollywood has got and it would be an injustice to put me on the same pedestal. I am really not trying to be modest. But it’s just the love for my work that keeps me going," Kapoor told IANS.
"I love acting. Money has never excited me to a certain extent. I have been lucky. The gods have been smiling on me. It's not just hardwork, dedication or box office success… it's a combination of all these that has contributed to my success. I’m fortunate that I’m still around.
"Over the last 30 years there never has been a single year when I didn't have job opportunities. I have always decided what I want to do. The choice of films has always been mine. I pray to god that this remains all my life… that I work so hard that only I decide when to hang my boots, rather than people telling me 'We have had enough of you'."
Unintentionally draws blood requiring Anil to take tetanus shot. In fact, Shakti Kapoor bit through three layers of clothing!
Anil Kapoor was badly bitten by co-actor Shakti Kapoor while shooting for Anees Bazmee's, No Problem.
The incident happened on yesterday afternoon at Filmistan Studios. Medical aid was rushed to Kapoor and as a precaution he was also administered a tetanus shot.
The scene required a wheelchair-bound Shakti to sink his teeth into Anil's sleeve and then pull him.
But as the camera rolled, he got carried away and dug his teeth deep into Anil's left arm. Unit members were shocked to see blood oozing from the wound and Anil writhing in pain.
Says a unit source, "Anil was wearing a shirt, a sweater and then an overcoat. So imagine how hard Shakti must have bit that he got through three layers of clothing." Confirming the incident, producer Rajat Rawail says, "Yes, Shakti did bite Anil and for a while there was panic on the sets."
He adds, "Anil plays Shakti's son-in-law in the film. The scene involved an injured Shakti, who is unable to lift his arms or speak, trying to draw Anil's attention by tugging at his sleeve with his mouth.
Director Anees Bazmee wanted him to hold on to his bite, but in the process Shakti clasped his teeth hard and bit Anil."
Everyone was concerned as Anil was in pain. His wound was treated with an antiseptic and then a doctor was called in to administer a tetanus shot.
But later everyone on the sets burst out laughing including Anil.

Coming to think of it, wasn’t he reprising the role of Big B in the film? Yes he was, and now, Big B has taken up the offer to host Big Boss 3 after Anil showed the producers the door. The contestants who are rumoured to appear on the show are a who’s who of has-beens like Chunky Pandey, Aditya Pancholi, Baba Ramdev (who has denied it) and Shakti Kapoor.Big B is no stranger to them, as much as Anil who has worked with them in the past, yet today the superstar has more time on his hands to take on work of his junior when at a time there used to be a reverse case. In the past, when Anil Kapoor took up Meri Jung, which was offered to Big B, it was seen as a project that would finally seal Anil’s fate who wanted to bethe next superstar. Gossip continues to trickle in, long after the green carpet at IIFA Awards 2009 has been rolled up.
Off late, things have not been very pleasant between the Bachchans and Anil Kapoor’s family.
Earlier, Anil was not too happy when Amitabh Bachcan slammed his “Slumdog Millionaire” on his blog. Then daughter Sonam was reportedly edged out of her Cannes red carpet appearance by Aishwarya, which left Sonam heartbroken. At the IIFA Awards, Anil Kapoor was called on the stage to announce the winner of the Best Female Actor of the Decade. He opened the envelope and declared the winner, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, but later called her as fantastic, fabulous, mind blowing, mind blasting... chaiwali.
Without showing any grudge on her face Ash instantly replied, “Fantastic, fabulous, mind blowing, mind blasting... chaiwala.”
The audience had a forced laughter on their face, but nonetheless, many felt that Anil Kapoor should not have addressed a lady the way he did.
Meanwhile, Sonam was recently heard calling Ash “aunty”. When quizzed about the same, she said Aishwarya is quite senior to her and has also been her dad’s co-star so obviously she would call her dad’s co-star aunty.
Sonam needs to answer one more question on this: Will she call Abhishek uncle because he is Ash aunty’s husband, even though he was her co-star in “Dilli 6”?
