Holly Madison needs a dependable man'

Posted by pawon on Friday, April 1, 2011

Holly Madison has disclosed that she is looking for a boyfriend who will not be easily intimidated by her celebrity status.

Earlier this month, it was reported that the former Girls Next Door star had split with boyfriend and All Time Low singer Jack Barakat.

In an interview with People, the model, who was previously linked to Playboy founder Hugh Hefner, suggested she is seeking a man who isn't bothered by dating a "successful woman".

"It definitely takes a guy who is secure and not overprotective and doesn't feel threatened by a successful woman," she said. "He needs to be patient and somebody who knows where he wants the relationship to go."

Despite previously claiming that she hopes to find her soul mate, the Holly's World star was quick to point out that there are benefits to remaining single.

She explained: "I'm happy single, but I'm happy in both cases… I feel like I definitely thrive more as a human and I'm more successful when I'm single."

Madison recently professed that she is very "proud" of her curvy physique.

The second season finale of Holly's World, titled 'Absinthe of Malice', airs on Sunday on E!.

I like the way I look

Holly Madison has said that she is happy with her appearance despite being asked to lose weight for Peepshow.

The second season of her E! show Holly's World will see producers of the Las Vegas burlesque production requesting that Madison shed a few pounds.

"My manager told me when I got back from vacation. I'd been at Disney World for a week pigging out, of course," she explained to Kathie Lee & Hoda on NBC's Today Show.

"He said, 'They say you need to lose weight.' I said, 'I'll get healthy but I like the way I look - I'm fine with it.' Other women in the show are very thin or muscular-fit, but that's never been me."

As for whether the request had hurt her feelings, she said: "I felt disgusting having to go on stage right after that. I was like, 'Everybody is looking at me, I must look so fat.' But I don't care, I always thought I looked good."

Madison, who previously starred in Girls Next Door, also shared her thoughts on the jibes made by Ricky Gervais about her ex-boyfriend Hugh Hefner and his new fiancée Crystal Harris at the recent Golden Globe Awards.

"I've heard jokes like that for years and Hef has too," she said. "He's been taking all kinds of hits in the media for over 50 years so he knows how to roll with it, and he's cool with it."

Hefner also responded to the jokes on his official Twitter account this week when one follower questioned if the couple had been offended, saying: "I'm used to cheap shots... It goes with the territory."

No More Plastic Surgery

Posted by pawon on Saturday, June 19, 2010

Always a fan of looking her finest without going overboard, Holly Madison admits to going under the knife in the past, but insists she’ll be holding off on more for a long time.

Talking with E!’s Marc Malkin, the “Holly’s World” star told, "Maybe when I'm getting older, but I'm done with it for now. I don't like when people inject a lot of stuff in their face because then their faces move all weird."

The 30-year-old blonde bombshell advised, "I think when young girls are thinking about plastic surgery they need to go to a very wealthy house party in Beverly Hills. All they need to do is look at all the old people in the room and be like, ‘Oh, maybe I don't want to get my lips done. Maybe I don't want to get Botox,' because you see how it ages."

Something Ms Madison does insist on getting done? Her hair. "It's my trademark," she said. "I have to do the color every week, but I have to be careful because my hair gets dry and breaks off when I style it too much."
